Carlson

Hello, and welcome to Melody Carlson’s Let Them Eat Fruitcake Blog Tour!

First of all, thank you so much for agreeing to participate. We really appreciate your time and effort in making this a successful tour. You’ll notice that you have multiple options on how to participate. We want to offer you the flexibility needed to remain consistent with the normal feel of your blog postings.
Scroll to the bottom of this post for links to the information you might need OR you can find links in the right-hand sidebar.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: (detailed instructions follow)

1) Post sometime during the week(s) of NOV 10 - NOV 21, and link to Let Them Eat Fruitcake on Amazon, as well as Melody’s website. Please be sure to use the Amazon link provided for tracking purposes on Amazon and Technorati.
2) Email me the link to your post once it is up.
3) Link to the other bloggers on the tour.
4) Post your review to Amazon and other similar sites, if applicable.

EMAIL UPDATES

It is my intention to send you a reminder a week before your day to post. I may also send a follow-up email and feedback survey to you at the conclusion of the tour.

BLOG TOUR OPTIONS

As a part of the blog tour, you have two options of how to participate.

OPTION ONE (recommended): PERSONAL INTERVIEW AND/OR REVIEW
Post a personal interview with Melody and/or a review of Let Them Eat Fruitcake. Be sure to include a link to Melody’s website and a link to buy Let Them Eat Fruitcake on Amazon. Please use the links provided below for Amazon and Technorati tracking purposes.

OPTION TWO: CANNED INTERVIEW and MEDIA RELEASE
Post one of the canned interviews (or a combination of them, if you prefer) with Melody on your website. You can also cut and paste text from the media release about the book. We highly recommend personalizing the post in some way so that the tour does not become rote. This may include adding your own commentary or experience, combining various questions from the interviews, or posting only part of the canned interview.

ADDITIONAL INCENTIVE
If your readers leave a comment on your post or any other post in the tour by 5pm CST on November 21, they will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift certificate to the Collin Street Bakery. The Collin Street Bakery is world-famous for its - you guessed it - fruitcake and will deliver your baked goods almost anywhere in the world. Readers can enter multiple times by commenting on more than one post (but only one comment per post will be counted). You are also eligible to enter by commenting on other posts in the tour.

LINKING TO OTHER HOSTS

Below are some additional ways you can select to help promote the tour itself and drive additional traffic to the blog tours sites. We would really appreciate it if you selected at least one of these options and have tried to make it simple for you by providing the HTML code for you to copy and paste.

1) At the end of your post, include a link to all of the bloggers scheduled on the tour. (HTML provided)

2) At the end of your post, include a link to the master list of bloggers on the tour.

3) Leave comments on the other blogs who are hosting Melody.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you are having any trouble finding information, using this site, or posting, please let me know ASAP. I’ll see what I can do to help you. My goal is to make participating as easy as possible for you.

If you are interested in me coordinating your next blog tour, please email me and let’s talk.

If you would like to be notified about participating in other blog tours, email me, and I will add you to my database. It would be helpful if you also told me what in types of tours you are interested (fiction, non-fiction, specific topic, any…).
